Born in Reggio Calabria, Italy master tailor Natale Agostino immigrated to Massachusetts in 1967 at the age of 16. He had $1.38 in his pocket and the equivalent of a fifth grade education. After learning English and working for 3 different clothing stores, 19-year-old Natale opened his own tailor shop, which also served as his home, in Weymouth landing. Natale placed his sewing machine in a store window to attract customers and to demonstrate his skills. He would stitch and re-stitch a jacket sleeve over and over. In 1973, Natale expanded into suit sales in a larger tailor shop located in East Braintree. In 1994, Natale built a new store on Route 53 in Hanover. Seventeen years later, he sold this location in order to build a new store in Norwell, which was to be completed in 2012. In October of 2011, Natale passed away suddenly. His son, Carlo, who had been groomed as he worked alongside Natale, fulfilled his father’s wishes by maintaining the business, now located in Norwell. He is proud to uphold his father’s high standards.

Natale’s has been recognized for Best Men’s Clothing by many publications (Boston Magazine, South Shore Living and Yankee Magazine). We are pleased and grateful that our achievements have been acknowledged year after year and we are honored to be a small part of this wonderful community.
